Ontario has Canada's laxest rules for online gambling.
Ours is the only province with dozens of profit-seeking companies competing to lure people to their gambling apps.
At least 200,000 Ontarians have gambling problems, including many who are addicted.
Gambling addiction ruins lives, including the lives of gamblers' family members.
We Liberals must properly regulate online gambling!
We call on the Ontario Liberal Party to strongly consider these ideas for our next Platform:
- Banning or tightly limiting gambling ads (like with cannabis advertising)
- Implementing centralized self-exclusion across all sites
- Preventing the use of credit cards for gambling

Doug Ford has let his billionaire buddies in the gambling industry get away with this, and too many lives are being ruined.
We are not surprised, but we are disgusted... and so are the people of Ontario. We Liberals must put People before Profits!!
